Position:

1. Groundstaff

Key Responsibilities:

To carry out general duties in and around the Carrington Training Complex, including the lifting heavy goods

To assist with the cleaning of all the facilities at the Training Grounds, when required, including The Cliff, Littleton Road and Carrington Training Complex

To assist GPS tradesman with duties as and when required

To provide general labouring support/assistance to other departments within Manchester United Ltd

To carry out commercial cleaning duties on a regular basis using industrial cleaning equipment

To provide portering duties in relation to postage and deliveries

Assist with basic assembly of furniture and equipment

Driving duties – with the use of company commercial vehicles

The Person:

2. Data Operations Manager

Project & Delivery Management:

Coordinate planning and delivery across the Data group, including data engineering, software, science, and analysis

Ensure projects are well-scoped, aligned to football priorities, and delivered in a structured and transparent manner

Act as the central delivery lead for the group: track dependencies, resolve blockers, and ensure execution against timelines

Introduce lightweight processes, documentation, and delivery tooling to improve clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

Manage relationships with third-party data and software providers, ensuring responsive support, alignment with roadmaps, and fit-for-purpose contracts

Drive alignment of the club’s data vendor landscape across Men’s, Women’s, and Academy football, extending coordination to other departments where appropriate

Work closely with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to represent the group’s technical and commercial requirements

Oversee cloud infrastructure usage, particularly Microsoft Azure, optimising operational efficiency and cost

Manage budgets and commercial planning, track spend, support contract negotiations, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation

We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings:

Proven experience delivering complex technical projects across multi-disciplinary teams, ideally within data or software environments

Strong operational and organisational skills, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to value, even when priorities shift

Excellent stakeholder management, confident in navigating technical, legal, procurement, and vendor environments

Hands-on experience managing third-party technology providers (cloud, data, or SaaS vendors)

Understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly Microsoft Azure, with a focus on operational and financial efficiency

Comfort managing budgets, contracts, and commercial planning

Desirable (but not essential):

Background in data engineering, software engineering, or technical programme management

Experience in high-performance sport or similarly fast-paced, outcome-driven environments

Familiarity with modern data stacks (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, container orchestration, etc.)

3. Creative Strategist – eCommerce

Key Responsibilities:

Shape the creative commerce strategy, defining how storytelling and content can drive e-commerce growth

Develop and lead creative ideas and campaign concepts that connect fan culture, brand storytelling and retail objectives

Translate e-commerce insights and data into creative briefs and actionable ideas that drive measurable performance

Collaborate with the E-commerce Growth & Activation Lead to align creative with business priorities and trading goals

Work closely with the Social and Content teams to integrate shoppable and commerce-driven storytelling across owned and emerging platforms (TikTok Shop, Instagram Marketplace, etc.)

Partner with the Creative and Production teams to brief, shape and evaluate creative work across channels

Collaborate with the Brand & Influencer Marketing Manager to identify and activate creator-led commerce opportunities

Use performance data, platform trends and audience insights to refine creative direction and optimise future campaigns

Champion creative best practice within the e-commerce team ensuring all storytelling aligns with brand values while driving measurable sales

Skills & Experience

3–5 years’ experience in creative strategy, content planning or e-commerce marketing (brand, agency or retail background)

Proven experience developing and leading creative ideas that deliver both brand impact and commercial results for a retail/ecommerce brand

Deep understanding of social commerce, creator marketing and shoppable content formats

Ability to interpret data, trends and cultural moments into actionable creative opportunities

Experience collaborating with creative, production and performance marketing teams to bring ideas to life

Excellent communication and storytelling skills — able to inspire creative and cross-functional collaboration

Strategic and hands-on — equally comfortable developing ideas and guiding execution

Strong cultural awareness and understanding of fan behaviour, sport and entertainment platforms

4. Senior Marketing Manager – Owned, Operated & Organic Channels

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the commercial marketing strategy for the club’s owned and organic environments, ensuring revenue-driving campaigns and products are surfaced effectively

Define the marketing priorities and placements for eCommerce, D2C, venue/ticketing, MUTV and other initiatives across the website, app, CRM creative surfaces and organic touchpoints

Collaborate with the Digital Product team (who own the web/app platforms) to align commercial content planning with user experience and product roadmaps

Work with the Content and Social teams (who manage site and organic publishing) to ensure marketing priorities and commercial moments are represented accurately and on time

Bridge planning between Consumer Marketing and CRM to ensure lifecycle journeys and on-site experiences are coordinated for key campaigns

Partner with the E-commerce Growth & Activation Lead to translate trading goals into owned-channel marketing priorities.

Coordinate cross-functional delivery for major moments (e.g., kit launches, product drops, ticketing campaigns, partner activations).

Use analytics and insights to optimise the commercial use of owned channels and improve conversion performance.

Champion collaboration and clarity between Marketing, Content/Social and Digital Product teams to enhance both fan experience and commercial outcomes

Skills & Experience:

5–7 years’ experience in marketing, CRM or digital campaign planning across complex multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within sports or entertainment.

Strong understanding of web, app, organic and CRM ecosystems, and how to leverage them for commercial growth.

Skilled at coordinating across channel owners and managing through influence rather than ownership.

Analytical and insight-driven — confident using performance data to optimise content and placements.

Excellent communication, organization and relationship-building skills.

Commercially minded with a clear understanding of how marketing drives revenue while supporting fan experience.

Experience working with or alongside digital product, content publishing, and CRM teams.

5. Senior Marketing Manager – Paid Channels

Key Responsibilities:

Lead paid media strategy, planning, and hands-on optimisation across all club business areas

Translate business objectives into data-driven testable media strategies that balance reach, efficiency and conversion.

Partner with the Head of Brand & Consumer Marketing and the E-commerce Growth and Activation Lead to define how paid media supports commercial targets and key trading moments, including budget pacing and reallocation

Lead media agency relationships, ensuring campaign excellence, platform best practice, budget discipline and performance accountability.

Coordinate with the O&O, social and CRM teams to connect paid acquisition with owned channel journeys and fan retention.

Partner with Creative teams to ensure storytelling and messaging are consistent across all media formats.

Test and learn: pilot new formats, channels and targeting; run A/B and geo holdout tests; document results and scale winners.

Support key campaign launches (e.g., kit launches, ticket on-sales) with cross-channel paid strategies.

Provide reporting and actionable insights to inform future planning and investment decisions.

Skills & Experience:

5–7 years’ experience in paid media strategy or digital performance marketing across multiple products or brands, including recent hands-on buying and optimisation

Proven ability to manage complex budgets and deliver measurable improvements in ROAS/CPA, revenue, CAC/LTV and incremental lift.

Confident in interpreting analytics to inform planning and optimisation.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to make clear time-bound recommendations to senior leaders with experience working cross-functionally.

Balances creative storytelling with data-driven decisioning; spots channel and audience trends early and turns them into tests.

Collaborative and proactive, with a commercial mindset and continuous improvement approach.

6. Cloud & Platform Engineer

Essential Skills:

Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS, Entra ID, M365

Security: Defender Suite, Sentinel, RBAC, PIM

Networking Principles: VLAN, SD-WAN, WIFI, DNS, Firewalls, Load Balancers, vNet

Compute & Storage:, Hypervisor, Azure VMs, Azure Files, Sharepoint/Onedrive

Endpoint Management: Intune, Autopilot, Conditional Access

Soft Skills: Calm under pressure, mentoring, stakeholder engagement

Desirable Skills:

Experience supporting web-based applications, IIS, and SQL Server

Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of technologies

Good understanding of MacOS, MacOS Server, iOS devices

Experience with CI/CD & Automation: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions

Knowledge of scripting via PowerShell, Python

Good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Operating Systems

Experience working with LAN and WAN technology (including TCP/IP, DNS, VOIP, Firewalls, switches).

Experience of maintaining security standards
